Which Cab Should You Choose for Your Outstation Trip?

Every car in the Raja Drop Taxi fleet is owner-verified, regularly serviced and fully air-conditioned. Here is a quick guide to choosing the right vehicle for your one way drop taxi or outstation trip:

Sedan — Best Value (4 + 1 Seats)

Swift Dzire, Toyota Etios, Honda Amaze or similar. Ideal for solo travellers, couples and small families with up to 3 medium bags. The most economical choice for routes like Chennai–Bangalore or Chennai–Coimbatore.

SUV — Family Comfort (7 + 1 Seats)

Maruti Ertiga, Kia Carens or similar. Extra legroom and boot space for family trips, airport transfers with heavy luggage, and hill-station journeys to Ooty, Kodaikanal or Munnar.

Innova Crysta — Premium (7 + 1 Seats)

The gold standard for long-distance comfort. Captain seats, smooth ride quality and ample space — preferred for business travel, senior citizens and overnight journeys.

Tempo Traveller — Groups (12–17 Seats)

For group tours, pilgrimages and family functions. Travel together to Tirupati, Rameswaram or Sabarimala with pushback seats and room for everyone's luggage.

One-way drop fares include the driver — bata applies to round trips only. Minimum one-way booking 130 km. Toll gates, parking and inter-state permits are charged as actuals. Fares are indicative and may vary with the exact pickup and drop location.

Which cab should I choose for an outstation trip?

For two to four passengers with a couple of bags, a sedan is the cheapest comfortable option. Choose an SUV or Ertiga for five or six passengers, or when you are carrying more luggage on a long run. The Force Traveller is for groups of up to 17 — temple tours and family functions.

What does the per-kilometre rate include?

The rate covers the vehicle, fuel and the driver. Toll gate fees, parking and inter-state permits are charged as actuals on top, and driver bata applies on longer trips. Nothing is added after the trip that was not quoted before it.

Are all the cabs air-conditioned?

Yes. Every vehicle in the fleet is air-conditioned and maintained for long intercity runs, which is a different standard from a city taxi doing short hops.

Do you provide a driver, or is this self-drive?

All bookings are chauffeur-driven. We do not offer self-drive rental. Our drivers know these intercity routes, which matters on ghat roads and overnight runs.

How much luggage fits in each vehicle?

A sedan takes two large suitcases plus cabin bags, an SUV or Ertiga takes three, and the Force Traveller takes ten. If you are carrying more, tell us when booking and we will send the right vehicle rather than leave you rearranging bags at the door.

Is the fare based on one-way distance or both ways?

On a one-way drop you pay only for the distance you travel. That is the whole point of a drop taxi — you are not paying for the car to return empty. Round trips are charged on the full journey.

Can I request a specific car model?

You can request one and we will do our best, but we confirm the vehicle *category* — sedan, SUV or tempo traveller — rather than a specific model. That way a booking is never cancelled because one particular car is unavailable.

How many passengers can travel in one cab?

Sedans seat four to five including the driver, SUVs and Ertiga seat six, and the Force Traveller seats 17. Seating counts are per vehicle and are listed on each card above.
