Koramangala sits south-east of the centre and is close enough to Hosur Road to make Tamil Nadu trips straightforward — the connection is through Silk Board, about 6 km away, onto NH44. Every Koramangala outstation trip going south passes through or around Silk Board junction, which has a deserved reputation. In practice it is a non-issue before about 7:30 am and after 10 pm, and a real one in between. On a long trip to Madurai or Coimbatore the difference between a 6 am and a 9 am departure is not the three hours on the clock — it is closer to four, once the junction is included.

Pickup on the inner roads

Koramangala's block layout confuses map apps more than most parts of the city, and several 80 Feet Roads exist. Naming a landmark rather than a pin — Forum, Sony World signal, Jyoti Nivas — gets the driver to you faster than an address alone. Many of the inner residential roads are one-way, so the driver may ask to meet you at the nearest main road corner.

Late-night and early-morning departures

A large share of bookings from here are overnight runs: leave around 10 or 11 pm, sleep through the highway stretch, arrive in Madurai or Coimbatore at dawn. The roads out of Koramangala are clear at that hour and the driver rests near Salem on the longer trips, which is built into the quoted time.

Koramangala to Kempegowda International is a full cross-city run to the northern edge, normally via the Outer Ring Road through Hebbal. It is one of the trips people most often underestimate. The honest guidance is to allow well over the map estimate in either peak, and to prefer a very early departure for a morning flight. Late-night arrivals coming the other way are much quicker, and the driver tracks the flight rather than the booked time, so a delay costs you no waiting charge.

Weekend round trips

The classic Koramangala booking is a Friday-evening or Saturday-morning run to Pondicherry, Coorg or Yelagiri with a Sunday return.
